Tanks

 on

Few days ago I posted a photograph of an armoured personnel carrier parked next to Australia Square. Today I found three of these “tanks” in a imposing set-up on a small Angel Place street.

These vintage military vehicles are part of installation art by artist Adam Norton, who sourced three ex-army vehicles from private collectors. Norton’s vision here is to show people of Sydney how much freedom they have and emphasise we are still the “lucky country”

  • well well done
    its an impressive image
    good job.

  • As installation art, this definitely gets the point across — well taken!

FWIW, before I read the caption, my first thought was “wow, things are getting rough down on Wall Street.”

  • J. Austin

Wow, what a frightening photo. Very well done. Wow.

  • Powerful image Ted, as a matter of fact with the tones and dark contrasts, it’s down right frightening. Great shot, really like this one.
