At the base of Somersby Falls

At the base of Somersby Falls "I am a man, I consider nothing that is human alien to me." This famous sentence accredited to Terentius, a Roman play writer, resurfaced at Renaissance as a leading motto of humanism and a way out of dark ages of medieval oppression of free thinking people. It took another few centuries before people would be free to openly discuss almost any subject. And yet, here in 2010 we see strong return to some radical conservatism, where many of the freedoms are disappearing from our lives. Censorship is thriving and getting set in laws, here in Australia, and in other countries, which until recently were considered free. And yet so many Australians fail to see why we need a Bill of Rights. Are we returning to the dark ages under influence of unimaginative bureaucrats, who managed to gain political power?
