You're Sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine

You're Sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine
You're Sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine I came across a contingent of girls running through the Sydney Circular Quay dressed in colourful outfits, singing, dancing and simply having a ball. Every now and than they would stop and serenade a person or a group of people in an outdoor restaurant with the old Johnny Burnette song “You’re Sixteen”. The song is better known from a cover by Ringo Starr. Here is its first verse:

“You come on like a dream, peaches and cream
Lips like strawberry wine
You’re sixteen, you’re beautiful and you’re mine”
