This dramatic photograph of a dead fish corpse with exposed sharp teeth was taken on New Zealand’s North Island at a beautiful Waipu beach. It was an eerie experience as the beach is very long and yet we were the only people there, which seemed rather odd in the middle of holiday season.
Here is a photograph of a very common coastal bird:White-faced Heron (Egretta novaehollandiae). They are mostly light blue-grey in colour, and they have a characteristic white face. Usually they are very timid and fly away when approached.
