Head Shot

Back to may favourite form of photography – street candids. And again a rediscover of a well known landmark in Sydney. I have passed this place on many occasions and have never noticed the framework it creates for a portrait just like this. A strong urban image / portrait with overwhelming and over sized architectural elements with a small human form.

Reflections and Legacy

Isn’t it curious how old buildings reflect well in the new ones and yet the opposite is seldom true?

Here are two examples of Queen Victoria Building reflections on neighbouring buildings.

Simple bricks on one side and a magnificent creation of the architecture on the other.

Legacy – the text on this flag gave me the inspiration for this shot – the term was only too appropriate.
