Birds silhouettes

 on

This photograph was taken at Lake Rotorua, on a very rainy and foggy day. Despite the weather we went for a walk along the smelliest tourist attraction in New Zealand. At the end of our walk there was a tree without any leaves, with multitude of water birds. Since the background was obscured by heavy cloud the dispersed light created a perfect opportunity for silhouette style photograph.

The Ugly Duckling

 on

We all know the fairy tale of “The Ugly Duckling” by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen, which turned into a beautiful swan. And here is my photographic and much shortened, Australian
(black swan instead or white) version of it in a single photograph. By the way this “ugly duckling” seems to have quite a curious character checking me out as I took this photograph.
