Australia Day 2007 – Fireworks

Fireworks are a traditional form of celebrating big events in Australia and this year was no different. From spectacular extravaganza of Sydney fireworks to small shows in country towns the sky was set to multicolour kaleidoscopes to celebrate Australia Day.

I was under the impression the attendances at the celebrations were bigger then ever and the national pride just a bit stronger than usual. There are many facts that influenced this with the single most prominent the failed attempt to ban Australian flag from the Big Day Out concert.

You can find further fireworks images in the photo gallery.

Miss Earth Australia 2006 Pageant, Wednesday 20th of September 2006

Miss Earth Australia is a unique pageant dedicated to the environment. The contestants in the show are not only gorgeous but they also believe in the cause thus the theme of this extravaganza is “Beauties for a cause!”

The key principle behind the event is positive contribution to the community and subsequently to the country. The contestants are expected to be role models in raising environmental awareness.

Yes, there are plenty of lovely smiles, bright eyes and amazing figures. The girls are strong, educated individuals. And as the promoter says they rise respect through their knowledge and eloquence and leave you in awe with their unsurpassed beauty.
