Kingfisher Bay Resort Lake in morning fog on Fraser Island

Here is a first photo from my holidays on Fraser Island. This world heritage listed holiday paradise certainly delivers. It was a great rest for the family and plenty of photographic opportunities for me. One thing I did not enjoy is 1000 and one bites by sand flies. I’m still itchy from that experience on a kayak expedition to the mangroves

Fog at sunrise

This is the second of the photographs I took a couple of days ago during a foggy sunrise. Typically landscape photography like this is done with a wide angle lens. Due to the distance to the scene this particular photograph was taken with a telephoto lens. In addition to an odd lens choice I had to climb the roof of my house for a better angle.
