Pink fans

As I have mentioned in my post on the Pink concert, the even attracted rather sizable crowd. Many of the people there were the office workers who simply arrived earlier in the city to see the charismatic Pink sing.

There was also a large contingent of die-hard Pink fans, who came in force, some even slept overnight to get a better position. Many of them had pink highlight through their hair, waving banners and photographs. Here is a couple of girls I managed to photograph in the crowd.

Pink performed her hit “So what” and “Funhouse” at Martin Place plaza, Sydney during her promotional tour. She is returning back to Australia next year for a proper tour. She seemed tired and by her own admission not being a morning person it took her a while to warm up to the crowd and the performance. However, once she started she gave a fantastic show and spend a considerable amount of time signing autographs.

Pink has absolutely filled in the Martin Place entertainment area. Visibly attracting more people then the organisers expected. The pedestrian traffic was virtually stopped. I got up at 5am to get a good spot but all I could manage is a remote corner place and having to photograph with my arms raised high in the air. Needless to say a lot of my photos from today were throwaways.
