Anti-whaling ship Ady Gil and the Japanese whalers’ ship the Shonan Maru 2 collide

News agencies are reporting anti-whaling ship Ady Gil and the Japanese whalers’ ship the Shonan Maru 2 collided in remote Antarctic waters. Both sides are providing conflicting accounts of the event each side blaming the other for the collision.

All I can say is watching the whales is far more rewarding then eating them. They are social, they interact they are playful and curious. Seeing a big whale raise a couple of meters from your boat like a tower just to have a look at you leaves a very memorable impression.
